How wondrous is the breath, that divine breath.
Inhale, exhale, a divine kiss from the Lover.
A moment of intimacy with the Beloved.
A gift of life, renewed.
How wondrous is the breath, that divine breath.
Whose fragrance blossoms in the scent of spring.
Lingering through the autumn leaves.
Echoing in the depths of winter.
How wondrous is the breath, that divine breath.
The first and the last, the Everlasting.
And the moments in between.
So too, life comes full circle.
Notes:
This poem was inspired by my reflection on the breath as recounted in my earlier post regarding the vital role of the air.
